Lounge

As you can see from the picture the lounge is very inviting and comfortable place to sit and talk or just mellow the time away listening to pleasant back ground music.

If you like to test your knowledge why don't you try our quiz which is held once a fortnight or come along and enjoy your favourite sporting event on our 7ft projector screen

The bar area is a lively enjoyable area to play all the usual bar games dominos, darts and cards or just talking and listening to the juke box while playing the big prize gaming machines with your friends and family.

We operate a policy of no bad language as we are a family club and there can be children and ladies present.

We have 2 digital TV's, 2 fruit machines with big jackpots and an up to date jukebox.

We have 3 snooker tables that are in excellent condition and serviced every year so they are kept in tiptop condition for all who like to play the game.

We have 3 snooker teams one plays on a Tuesday and two on a Thursday so if you wish to improve your game or start to learn how to play why don't you join the club and come along as you will be made welcome.

Through out the year we run snooker competitions with a handicap system so every one who enters has a chance of winning.

We have a great pool table that is excellent value at only 40p per game. We have a pool team that plays in the winter months that has an excellent reputation for winning competitions.

So if you are just a beginner or an experienced player why not come along and (no one is left out male or female) enjoy a sociable night out.

We have a beautiful function room which holds 100 – 120 people which is a great venue for your party or event. Over the years we have organised many functions and are glad to help organise your special occasion for you. For all of you who are bored or fed up doing the same thing on a Saturday night, why not come along and enjoy the live entertainment which starts at 8.30ish. (see what's on link for details). We also run special nights for the whole family such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas parties. We also like to give the adults a break and hold special themed nights, like Elvis, Irish and Motown/ soul nights. For event dates see what's on. The club has a ladies section, which holds a Sunday night bingo session for all those lucky winners (starts at 8pm in the function room). The monies raised helps to pay for treats such as pensioners' party, trips away and children's christmas presents. So if you want to know more, see you Sunday night and we will be happy to give you more details.

The club allows other groups to hold their meetings within the premises, which are as follows.

The R.A.F. Association

The R.A.F association hold their meetings on the first Wednesday in the month, starting at 8pm .

Country Women

Country Women hold their meetings on the second Thursday in the month, starting at 8pm .

Tadcaster and District Flower Club

The Flower club hold their meeting on the first Thursday in the month, starting at 8pm .

The social club is not all about taking for our selves we like to help the community in that we do support worthy courses. Below is just a few we have and still are supporting.

The William Wilberfoss Trust

We help the trust to hold race nights and casino nights so they can raise funds for there charity.

The R.A.O.B

We like to help the buffs in any way we can as we have a great history with the organisation.

Martin House

We have raised a lot of money for Martin House in Tadcaster and will carry on doing this.

So we are not just a place were we all like to come and enjoy our selves but we all like to help those that are less fortunate than us.

So after looking at all this why don't you come on down and visit the club and enjoy the friendly atmosphere then you can see for your selves that we are a family club and everyone is welcome to join in.
